Neighbor to Neighbor: A Texas Village is dissolving due to our inability to identify individuals and couples in Fayette County whose needs match the purpose of NTN and are also within the ability of our volunteers to provide.  We have enjoyed serving our members and wish them the best.

Meals on Wheels of Central Texas

Meals on Wheels of Central Texas was founded in 1972 by eight volunteers to prevent hunger among our elderly neighbors and to improve their ability to remain healthy and independent in their own homes for as long as possible.  Today, we are a multi-service organization with 6500 volunteers who served nearly 5000 homebound older adults and people with disabilities every year.

Services for Seniors

Couple smilingIn the next decade, over 71 million Americans will be 65 years of age and older. With the increasing numbers of older persons and persons with lifelong disabilities living longer, we will see a broader demand for home and community-based services. These services will help manage activities of daily living that may be limited as a result of acute or chronic conditions, and will keep people integrated in their communities.

Easterseals programs such as adult day services, in-home support and services, community mobility options, wellness programs and support for family caregivers help people live as independently as possible for as long as possible. The Easterseals family of services is ever expanding to meet the needs and help promote wellness, independence and connectivity among the growing number of older Americans.
